JON PARTRIDGE POTTERY
A resourceful and creative potter, Jon trained at Georgian College in Barrie, then taught pottery at Mohawk College in Hamilton before moving to Muskoka in 1974. Purchasing a neglected one hundred acre farm just outside of Bracebridge was the beginning of a dream to embrace and live the creative life. Over the years, Jon and his wife, Suzann, have transformed the property into one of Muskoka's most popular pottery studios. Many decades as a full-time professional potter has honed Jon's skills. The forms and shapes into which the malleable clay is thrown or hand built, the clay's chemical compositions, the range of glazes, and how the work is decorated are singularly Jon's and sets his work apart from other potters. Since 1976, Jon has made his living entirely by his own hands. It's a remarkable accomplishment that's been achieved because of a dedication to a philosophy to make work he enjoys, to make it well, and to make it completely by his own hand.

Jen Manuell
Descended from a long line of talented craftspeople and artisans, Jen grew up in a busy household surrounded by art and craft and carries forward these traditions into her work. Although Jen holds a Commerce degree from Queen’s University, she is a largely self-taught textile artist. Through enthusiastic experimentation, Jen is passionate about coming up with new twists on traditional techniques. A large stash of wool, amassed since she began rug hooking in 1999, was the inspiration behind her current focus on sewing and quilting with wool. As an accomplished rug hooker, Jen has taught classes across Canada, in the US, and England. Her work has been exhibited in Canada and the US and has been featured in several publications, most recently in the book Simply Modern by Deanne Fitzpatrick.

GARRETT GILBART
Initially trained as a welder before attending art school on the East Coast and in Amsterdam, Garrett is now a sculptor working out of his farm-based studio near Peterborough, Ontario. His work combines industrially produced goods with intricately hand cut patterns. These discarded artifacts of the last century are re-imagined as an unnatural resource to work with and carve into. The patterns chosen often reference the life and work of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts Movement.
